Rev. Jacinta C. McLeod is a native of Virginia Beach, VA. At the age of 12 she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior, was baptized and immediately became an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop William Darryl Scott Sr. She was involved with the Youth Ministry, BGC, Youth Choir and Youth Missionaries throughout her teenage years. She attributes her strong Christian foundation to the nurturing and instruction received during her time at PGBC. Upon graduating as an Honor Student from Green Run High School in 1999, Jacinta continued her educational journey by attending Norfolk State University for her undergraduate studies, George Mason University where she obtained her MBA and The George Washington University where received her Juris Doctorate Degree. Throughout her college years she was actively involved in Campus Ministry and various Civic Organizations including the Urban League and NAACP. After working professionally in the corporate sector, Rev. Phelix decided to follow her heart and pursue a career in higher education. She has been employed as a Regional Director of Finance for a Private Educational Institute for 5 years where she has received numerous awards and recognition for her success. In 2010 she accepted the call into ministry and became licensed and ordained under the leadership of Rev. T. O. Crivens Sr at Testament of Hope Community Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. She served as the Youth Minister during her tenure in Memphis before relocating back to Virginia. She currently resides in Richmond, VA with her husband Alan and serves as an Associate Minister at Saint Pauls Baptist Church in Richmond, VA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Lance D. Watson. Rev. McLeod and her husband are founders of S.A.W.C.(Student Athlete with Children) Foundation which aims to assist student athletes that are also parents. Her passion and purpose in life is to impact the Youth. She truly is thankful for the adults that invested in her development as a youth and believes it is her duty to pay it forward by devoting her time and talents to Youth Ministry.
